Bumble Bee tutu

I decided that Ashlyn Kay needed to be a bumble bee for Halloween. So I bought some yellow and black tulle and I made her a tutu. I am pretty proud of myself. She looks super cute in it too. She will be wearing this tutu, a black onesie, black tights, yellow wings (which I ordered off of Etsy and they are yellow with black poof balls on them), and either a antenna or tulle hairbow. I am so excited! Jeff and I won't be here on Halloween, but Papa and BeBe will be. She is going to make her bumble bee appearance at our church Trunk or Treat. Will post pics of final outfit!

Strip Tease

Jeff & I normally wake up to Ashlyn Kay crying around 6:30 a.m. every morning. Yesterday (Sunday) we woke up at 8:30 a.m. to nothing. I was out like a log and obviously so was he. I frantically looked at the video monitor and there were no green or red lights flashing. IT WAS OFF! So I turned it on and of course screaming. Not crying but yelling. Some how the monitor had gotten cut off and she wasn't crying loud enough for us to hear her down the hall or we just were so tired and dead asleep we heard nothing. I went down to her room to find this...
a half naked baby standing up in her crib, blanket, lovie, minnie mouse, taggie dog, pillow, PANTS & DIAPER all on the floor. She was standing there yelling at me with just her top on. She had thrown all of her items out of the bed, ripped off her pants, ripped off her diaper and peed in the crib. WHAT THE HECK! I started dying laughing! I couldn't stop. If my camera had not gotten attacked by the rain the day before I would have for sure taken a picture. It was a classic moment to be documented. Oh the things this lady does!

Strep Throat is no joke

This week has been amazing!-NOT! Yes, I just brought back the 80's/90's. Ashlyn Kay started running a fever last Friday at my grandmother's. By Sunday she was not feeling well at all. Monday Jeff took her to the pediatrician. She had strep throat. What? I couldn't believe my little angel had strep throat. She also had a cold and is cutting her eye teeth. She was in bad shape. She has been so so sick and has basically cried for days on end. After making 3 trips to the pediatrician this week (they love us!) they discovered that because of her infection and multiple antibiotics that her reflux had returned. So finally after 2 antibiotics, tylenol, motrin, and now prevacid and carafete she is better. We are fever free and she is finally eating and drinking. My sweet Meme came and stayed this week and helped out. Thank Goodness! This was the sickest she has ever been in her short 14 months of life. I never want her to be this sick again!

Auburn Outfit & Weekend with BeBe & Poppa

Mommy took me took me to Georgia to spend the weekend with my Poppa & my Bebe. I had so much fun with them. Mommy bought me a new Auburn dress with matching bloomers & hairbow. I love it! When we went to Bebe's
school mommy let me wear my hippo backpack and Poppa pulled the lease. I love my backpack so much. We met all of her teacher friends and the principal. Then we left and went to eat Mexican. I love beans oh so much.
Saturday we went shopping and then I got to ride in the big girl cart and drive it at Publix. I had so much fun. I didn't like it when it would stop though, so I would shake it and then it would go. Yippee!
Sunday mommy, poppa, and bebe took me to Cracker Barrell. My new favorite place to eat! I ate pancakes. Man were they yummy. Hmmmm......! Then we went shopping and Poppa rode me around in my stroller all day. Oh so relaxing. After that I fell asleep. Yawn. We ate at my very, most favorite place in the whole world, Sticky Fingers. I had cheerios, chicken wings, french fries, and apples. I was so full and tired so I went to bed when we got home. Monday, mommy brought me home and I was so happy to see Doda and Fossi and Dadda.
I had a wonderful time in Georgia and can't wait to go back!
